The El Segundo Police Department is proud to have a team of California Peace Officer Standard and Training (POST) certified active shooter response instructors. Our team works diligently to ensure that our officers receive the best current and relevant training in active shooter response.

In addition to training our officers, we offer free active shooter training to local businesses, schools, and organizations. Services we offer include but are not limited to:

  • Site walk-throughs to help identify security weaknesses and ways to "target harden" your location
  • Presentations to your staff depicting how to react and what to expect from law enforcement in an active shooter event
  • Assistance with lock down or active shooter drills

Please contact ESPD Sergeant Jeremy Glunt at jglunt@elsegundo.org or 310-524-2262 with any questions or fill out the Active Shooter Training Request Form and an officer will be in touch shortly.
