Lieutenant Jeff Darringer is the Commander for the area of the city east of Pacific Coast Highway (East Command). Lieutenant Jeff Darringer is a 14-year veteran of the El Segundo Police Department who has worked Patrol, Motor Officer, Field Training Officer, Detective, S.W.A.T. Team Leader, Active Shooter Instructor, and Driver Training Instructor. He holds two associate’s degrees (Liberal Arts and Communication), a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, a master’s degree in public administration, and is a graduate of the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute. Lieutenant Darringer enjoys playing ice hockey and golfing and is a huge Los Angeles Kings fan!
