Overnight parking of oversized vehicles, recreational vehicles and trailers is prohibited between the hours of 2:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m. on all streets and highways within the City, unless such vehicles have been registered and have received an Oversized Vehicle Permit.
Residents may apply for and receive a limited number of permits that allow limited overnight parking on City streets.
About the Oversized Vehicle Ordinance:
- Regulates parking of oversized vehicles, RVs and trailers
- Establishes a registration/permit process
- Prohibits the placement of electrical cords, cables and similar items between those vehicles and nearby property
To register an oversized vehicle, bring your California Driver’s License, current registration for the vehicle, and proof of residency, such as a utility bill or property tax form to the El Segundo Police Department, located at 348 Main Street, El Segundo, CA 9045, during normal business hours.
